Practice the way the exam actually tests you — timed exams, quick-fire flashcards, and spaced-repetition study sessions, all drawn from an original NCLEX item bank covering the eight Client Needs categories, including Next Generation NCLEX item types. Ask Nick, the SI Nursing assistant, whenever you get stuck.

The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is the nationwide examination nursing graduates must pass to earn a nursing license — the NCLEX-RN for registered nurses and the NCLEX-PN for practical/vocational nurses. It is developed and owned by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and delivered by Pearson VUE in a computerized adaptive format, testing the knowledge, skills, and judgment needed for safe entry-level practice.
Our read: everything on this site is unofficial practice material — original questions written for SI Nursing, not the official exam. For authoritative exam details, start with NCSBN.
Full practice exams with a live timer, instant scoring, and per-question review with explanations. Faculty can build and publish their own exams with pass marks and access codes.
Quick-fire rounds by count, by time box, or endless — by Client Needs category or mixed. Beat the clock, retry your misses, and ask Nick to explain any card you got wrong.
Spaced repetition that runs itself — daily 20-card sessions mix due-for-review cards, your weakest topics, and new material. Your schedule lives on your device.
Instructors build locked flashcard assignments with an access code, students join with the code, and completion receipts verify the work. No account needed to play.
Next Generation NCLEX, covered. The bank includes NGN-style item types alongside traditional multiple choice: select-all-that-apply and trend questions (exact-match scoring — all correct selections required, no partial credit), plus bow-tie and cloze items with one dropdown per blank (every blank must be correct). Flagged or under-review items are never drawn.
The NCLEX test plan organizes content into eight Client Needs categories — Management of Care, Safety and Infection Control, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, Basic Care and Comfort, Pharmacological and Parenteral Therapies, Reduction of Risk Potential, and Physiological Adaptation. Every category gets its own study bank and timed practice block in Exam Admin.
