Faculty build practice exams from the original SI Nursing NCLEX item bank — students take them (timed or untimed), and the platform produces full exam statistics and item analysis — difficulty, discrimination, distractor performance, most-missed rankings. Everything here is original work; no commercial question banks, no proprietary content.

Unofficial, independent tool. Not affiliated with NCSBN, Pearson VUE, AACN, or CCNE. Demo data shown is simulated for illustration. Analytics flags are review signals for faculty judgment — items are never auto-deleted or auto-revised by the system.
The 12-question demo is always free, and you get one free 40-question practice exam — no account needed. Create a free account to unlock the full NCLEX bank, save your own questions, track progress, and join faculty exams with an access code.

The NCLEX test plan organizes content into eight Client Needs categories. Every category gets its full item pool as an untimed study bank, plus a timed NCLEX-style practice block (unofficial) — 50 items in 100 minutes. Original practice material, written for this site; not the official NCLEX.

Teaching in a nursing program? Faculty can build assigned exams from these same category banks in the Exam Builder, gate them with a per-exam access code so only their students join, and follow the cohort in Analytics — item difficulty, discrimination, and most-missed questions, with flags for faculty review only. Pick items from the original bank (or author your own), set a time limit and pass mark, and publish. ~90 seconds per item is the standard pacing.
Students take the exam in timed or untimed mode, with instant scoring and explanations on review.
Get exam statistics (reliability, score distribution) and per-item analysis: p-values, discrimination, distractor performance, most-missed rankings — with flags for faculty review, never automatic deletion.
New — Question Studio. Students and faculty can create their own original questions with Nick: he drafts each item, then two independent checkers solve it cold before it can be saved — the same triple-check behind the SI Nursing banks. Disputed items come back flagged with reasons, never silently shipped. Open the Question Studio →
Quick flashcards. Ten-card timed rounds from the verified NCLEX bank — all eight Client Needs categories, by topic or mixed. See the question, beat the clock, retry your misses, and ask Nick to explain any card you got wrong. No account needed; built for one-handed phone practice. Play a round →
Study mode. Spaced repetition that runs itself — daily 20-card sessions mix due-for-review cards, your weakest topics, and new material, with intervals of 1, 3, 7, 14, then 30 days. Misses come back tomorrow; Nick explains anything you get wrong. No account needed; your schedule lives on your device. Start studying →
Interview prep. Nursing-school admissions interviews and new-grad RN job interviews get the same treatment as the NCLEX: formats, the question categories programs actually ask, questions to ask them, timed mock interviews with Nick, and a practice-out-loud block that stays on your device. What the big platforms do — our version. Commercial systems (ExamSoft, ATI, Kaplan's institutional assessment tools) all provide the same core loop: exam assembly, delivery, and psychometric reporting (item difficulty, discrimination indices, distractor analysis, reliability coefficients, cohort comparisons). This module implements that loop with original code and original items, on open methodology documented below.
Demo data is simulated with a seeded generator (see js/sample-data.js) and labeled as such everywhere it appears.
Learn how the exam works, walk through the Next Generation item types, and follow a study plan Nick coaches you through — all with original teaching material written for this site.
How to study for the NCLEX, NGN item-type walkthroughs (bow-tie, trend, cloze, SATA), and test-taking strategies.
The sprint: four heavy weeks mapped to the eight Client Needs areas, milestone exams at weeks 2 and 4, daily Nick check-ins.
The build: two weeks per content family, an NGN bootcamp week, a 150-item capstone, and a final taper — coached by Nick.
